Oceana Health & Fitness membership provides you with the facilities and basic instruction on how to use the equipment. However many members and non members are enjoying the benefits of personal training.

Personal training has grown immensely in popularity amongst a wide cross section of the community as people recognise the benefits that having your own personal trainer provides.

If any of the following applies to you, a personal trainer may be just what you need:

• A history of poor exercise adherence.

• Limited time for exercise.

• An upcoming special event for you to look your best.

• An upcoming sport event or other challenge that you have set yourself.

If it was an easy process to know how to exercise, as well as easy to maintain the routine, you would already be doing it. We all know the essential health benefits of regular exercise,however sometimes it is just hard to know what to do and how hard to exercise to get the results you want.

Our personal trainers design your workouts around your own personal needs and goals. They go beyond simply motivating you to exercise. They intensify your workout to build cardiovascular endurance, maximise your calorie expenditure and bring you to a new level of physical condition through a range of  training options.  It’s not just a workout, it’s an experience!

Personal Training Options

One on one

This is a 30-minute session that may include strength training in the gym, functional training on the fitness trail, including some boot camp activities, or a session in the pool or combinations of all the above. We can structure a workout to suit your needs, but most importantly – we can make it fun. This is also the most time efficient way to get the exercise you need.

For a busy person you can achieve more in 30 minutes than what you may get out of three sessions working at a lower intensity on your own. The extra motivation provided by your trainer and by doing the exercises at an intensity that will produce results, you will be amazed at what you can achieve in only 30 minutes of exercise. We recommend one on one personal training for those needing rehabilitation from an injury.

Personal training is available to both members and non members and you can purchase a single session, a five or 10 pack, or you can have your fees debited to a nominated bank or credit card account. Sessions start at less than $30.

Less than $20 a session PER PERSON

We have adjusted our pricing structure to allow two peopel to train together for only five per cent more than one on one. That’s right – we want everyone to be able to experience and enjoy the benfits of personal training so get together with a friend, give us a call and we will book you in to see one of our team of experienced and friendly trainers.

Fitness coaching

This is best suited to those who want to pursue a home-based exercise program but want to know that they are doing the right exercise as well as receive ongoing support to maintain motivation and have program updates as needed. Through an initial consultation at Oceana Health & Fitness, we can help to set up your exercise program and then provide regular email and phone support to ensure that you are following the program.

We provide you with training logs to track your progress and information about relevant fitness topics so you can develop your fitness and exercise knowledge. You can also hire or buy the equipment and accessories you may need from Oceana Home Fitness.

Q Am I fit enough for a personal trainer?

A Yes. Our trainers can adapt your program to suit your current fitness level and any other physical or medical issues that need to be taken into account.

Q Do I have to be a member?

A No. We have non-member rates so that you can continue with your own home training or other external program and have a Personal trainer to complement these other activities.

Q Isn’t personal training expensive?

A Compared to what? How much is your health and well being worth to you? Consider how much you spend on take away food, soft drinks, eating out, coffee, confectionary, petrol, plus alcohol. Oceana Health & Fitness has a team of qualified, motivated and professional personal trainers who are available at any time of the day to help you with your program. You chose how much attention you need from a trainer.
