Membership Types – one size does not fit all !
Every member has a different level of experience with exercise and the equipment available. There is also the issue of injuries and other medical complications that need to be taken into account. Individual goals also vary along with levels of motivation.
So someone who has been exercising for years and has a routine that they know well and enjoy, may only need access to the equipment. However someone who is new to exercise, has a few injuries or restrictions and has a history of not sticking at it, will need much more support.
That is what separates Oceana form the rest. We have a range of membership levels that cater for every need. We will be honest with you in terms of what we think is the best option for you. We wont over promise and under deliver, but we will tell you if you choose an option that we think wont work for you.
Oceana has been open for 16 years in November and in that time we have continually tried to improve what we do to provide the best service to our members. The question you need to ask yourself is “What is my health worth to me?” And at the same time, “What am I spending money on to make me unhealthy?” If you do that you might see that it is merely a shift in spending patterns rather than a need to come up with “extra” money to cover your membership.
So look at your membership as an investment in your health which will not only extend your life, but also your quality of life, which is just as important.
Health Clubs are like everything else in life, you get what you pay for and at Oceana we are not the cheapest and never will be. We simply cant compete on price with low cost 24 hour clubs with no staff, or with council or school/Uni clubs who are subsidised, but still make a loss. But we do offer the best value for money fitness options for all individuals.
We have recently restructured our membership levels to create new layers between our base membership which covers acess to equipment and 1 on 1 Personal training.
These new options not only include unlimited access to the club but a range of supervised training options that include monthly follow up with our trainers where we help to set your goals and what you need to do to reach them. This support is not just at the beginning, it is throughout the term of your mmebership.
The basic principle we base our programs on is that all the best athletes ( and even most bad ones) have a coach. the coach is an essential person for an athlete and we belive that they are even more important to someone who is new to exercise and who wants results. That is why our new memebrship levels will help you get what you want out of your exercise time.

Obviously the more support you need the higher the membership fee, but the cheapest option is definitely not the best option unless you are familiar with a gym, have a high level of motivation and have no injuries.
It is our experience that the vast majority of people cancel their membership after only a few months because they don’t get results. And most don’t get results because they don’t train hard enough or they just don’t know what to do. As there is so much to learn at the early stages, you need ongoing support and instruction to ensure that you get the most out of your time.
You can always change your membership type. At the beginning have a higher level of support through PT and Team Training and then down the track once you have developed the habit of exercise you can go back to base membership and follow your own program.
Fortnightly or Annual Payments
All our membership options are available as either a fortnightly debit to your nominated bank or credit card account or through an up front annual fee. We have a standard 30 day cancellation policy on fortnightly membership.
You can receive a discount on your fortnightly rate if you commit to a 12 month minimum term for all membership options.
