Boot Camp or Outdoor Fitness Training?
Essentially the same thing but if we called it Outdoor Fitness Training you may not know what it was.
There is nothing better than being outdoors in the fresh air working out with a group of other people who have the same goal as you! We are so confident that you will enjoy our boot camp program that we will give you a chance to try your first session for FREE.
You can also build up to doing Boot Camp by doing our 30 minute Outdoor Training class as part of our existing group fitness program. These classes do most of the activities that we do in our 1 hour boot camp sessions, but they are a great way to start and the best news is that you can do these clases for free as part of your membership.
Whether that is weight loss, firming and toning up, improved strength and sporting performance, or all of the above - Boot Camp is the only way to go! Most people fail to reach their goals because they don’t do enough and when they do it is not done hard enough. So by committing to a set time, under the supervision of an experienced trainer, you will get results you never thought were possible.
Fun!
Exercising with other people is alway fun and you may actually start to enjoy exercise. We also guarantee that no two sessions will be the same, and that will ensure yo never get bored with your workouts. The motivation provided by the trainer and by being in a group, will provide you with the highest possible level of motivation to ensure you reach your health & Fitness goals.
Our facilities
We run the majority of our programs on site on our new Fitness Trail, but we also make use of local outdoor areas such as Bellerive Beach and the bush tracks and trails of the Meehan Ranges and Waverley Flora Park. We are the only health club that can offer you a true boot camp experience on site which means that we can have our classes in all weather conditions.
Our new Fitness Trail is an indoor/outdoor exercise area that incorporates a 250-metre running track, fixed equipment such as climbing walls, hurdles, chain mesh ladders, balance beams, parallel and monkey bars. There is a soft rubber floor under the equipment which reduces the risk of injury if you fall off, plus the rubber is great for doing exercises on. We can open up the doors either end to also give that outdoor feel.
We have boxing gear, skipping ropes, medicine balls, hurdles, sand bags and a variety of other training aids, along with tyres, logs and ropes for more traditional boot camp activities. There are also spin bikes that are great for those who may be unable to run due to injury, and they can be used by the group at any time to add variety to the class.
The range of exercises we can program into your sessions is only limited by our trainers' imagination, and trust us, they have pretty good imaginations!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be fit ?
You need to be able to jog at least 500 metres and have no major physical limitations or illness. We can modify your exercises in most cases to deal with minor injuries. Remember that you are doing the exercise to improve your fitness and you have to start somewhere. We also guarantee to show you that you can do much more than you think you can!
What do I wear/ bring?
Drink bottle, hand towel, any comfortable clothing and athletic footwear. You may need gloves to give you better grip on the equipment and when carrying tyres and logs. (we have these available for sale) When we go off site, you may need a change of clothes and spare towel.
Do I need a medical clearance?
It is your responsibility to gain medical clearance to participate. If you are male and over 40, female over 45, have not exercised for two years or more, or have a current or recent illness or injury, then you should seek medical clearance to participate.
How hard will we push you?
Our trainers will not play the military drill sergeant role and yell profanities to get you through the training, but they will encourage you to work as hard as you can, but at your pace. By using small groups within the sessions, we can cater for different ages and fitness levels.
There is nothing stopping you from challenging yourself by pushing yourself as hard as you like. To ensure you can pair up with someone your own age and fitness level we suggest that you come along with a friend.
