boot camp

While we call our outdoor fitness program Boot Camp - it is essentially Outdoor Fitness Training, but if we said that you probably would not know what it meant. Our  Oceana Boot Camp program does use some activities and equipment that is used in  military style physical conditioning programs, but we wont yell and scream at you and force you to do something you just can't do.  However we do want you to get out of your comfort zone and teach you how to exercise at a level which you never thought was possible!

Our Outdoor Fitness Training Program involves 3  sessions per week to choose from. You can even have a Boot Camp membership which allows you to attend as many sessions as you like. Pay as little as $5 a session. Our main aim is to improve your health by making you fitter, stronger and more flexible and as a result, be able to get through a normal day with a little in reserve. Beginners

We are the beginner 'specialists' at Oceana. We know how hard it is for some people to even walk in the door. To make our range of programs and facilities even more beginner friendly we have just opened our new Circuit Gym. We don't employ pushy sales tactics or ask you to sign up for long-term contracts. We have plenty of casual visit options where you can pay as you go, as well as some short-term programs to suit every budget. Everyone has to start somewhere and our goal is to help even more Tasmanians to improve their health and fitness and enjoy the significant benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle. Learn To Swim

Oceana Health & Fitness is the largest provider of Learn to Swim and Water Orientation programs in Tasmania.

Our facility was built to accommodate our learn to swim program with an even 0.9 metre depth for most of the pool and a deep end of 1.5 metres. This allows us to have beginners in the shallow end and more advanced children doing some deeper water training at the same time.

Membership

If you have decided that you want to attend regularly, then membership is your best-value option. Simply choose your membership type and pay fortnightly through your bank or credit card. NO LONG-TERM COMMITMENT AND NO CONTRACTS.

But we also understand that membership is not necessarily the best option for everyone. Either way, we will not go the 'hard sell' which is all too common in the fitness industry. BuT we will be honest with you and tell you what we think is the best option to suit you. Joining a club for the first time is a big step for some, and we won't rush you into making a decision. We want you to check out other options so when you do join, you know it is the right thing for you. Please don't just call and ask for a price. Take time to come in and see what we have to offer. Personal Training

Personal training is not just for movie stars, it's for people who want results so if any of the following applies to you a Trainer might be just what you need. Lack of motivation A history of poor exercise adherence. Limited time for exercise. An upcoming special event you want to look your best. Casual Visits

You do not have to commit to a long-term membership at Oceana. You can pay as you go. While membership is better value if you are going to attend at least twice a week, there is always the option of paying for a single visit or buying a 10-pack of visits.

There is no restriction on casual visits for use of the pool area or group fitness classes, except that members will always get priority for lane space in the pool and in all classes that have limited numbers. Please call in advance if you have any questions. Learn More
